Farida Parveen suffering from multi-organ failure, unfit for overseas treatment

Celebrated Lalon singer Farida Parveen remains on life support, with doctors confirming that she is not fit to be moved abroad for advanced treatment.
"Her blood pressure has risen slightly since Thursday afternoon," said Dr Asish Kumar Chakraborty, managing director of Universal Medical College Hospital in Mohakhali. "But her haemoglobin level is very low, internal bleeding has not stopped, and her consciousness remains severely impaired."
He added, "She is currently suffering from multi-organ failure. Attempts to start dialysis since yesterday have not been successful."
A six-member medical board comprising specialists from different departments is overseeing Parveen's treatment. "The board has agreed that her current treatment will continue," Dr Chakraborty stated.
Given her fragile condition, doctors have ruled out the possibility of transferring her overseas. "Her physical state makes it impossible to move her abroad. Even an air ambulance would be extremely risky, and she does not have the required fitness for such transport," said Dr Chakraborty.
