Mosharraf Karim to feature in Eid special ‘Ityadi’

An Eid special is often synonymous with added surprises — and when the name is “Ityadi”, expectations naturally soar. For more than two decades, the programme has remained equally popular among older viewers and the digital generation alike, regularly securing a place on YouTube’s trending list.
This Eid will be no exception.

Popular actor Mosharraf Karim, known for his work across television dramas, films and web series, has taken part in the upcoming Eid episode as a guest in the audience segment. Beyond his presence, he also performed alongside four audience members selected from the crowd.

The selection process differed from the usual question-and-answer format. Instead, a special mechanism was used to choose four participants from among thousands of viewers, creating a distinctive moment on stage before the main performance began.

In the segment, Mosharraf Karim portrayed three different characters with minimal preparation, accompanied by the selected audience members — none of whom are professional actors. Their spontaneous participation, combined with the actor’s versatility, created a lively atmosphere, drawing applause from those present.

Through the performance, a meaningful message is conveyed, one that organisers hope will resonate with both studio and home audiences.

The Eid special will air on Bangladesh Television the night after Eid, following the 8:00pm Bangla news bulletin. The programme is written, directed and presented by Hanif Sanket. It is produced by Fagun Audio Vision and sponsored by Keya Cosmetics Limited.
