2 held with Yaba pills in Narayanganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested two people along with 2,480 Yaba tablets from a branch office of SA Paribahan Courier and Parcel Services on Bangabandhu Road in Narayanganj city on Friday.

The arrestees were identified as Ripon Mia, 35, and Abdul Kaiyum, 32, of Sonargaon upazila.

Tipped-off, a team of Rab-11 raided the SA Paribahan branch office and arrested the duo around 8.00pm.

Later the elite force recovered of 2,480 Yaba tablets to be sent here from Cox’s Bazar, after searching their bodies.

A case was filed under the Narcotic Control Act.
