Syntax Mart receives LEED Platinum certification

Syntax Mart, a sister concern of Syntax Group, has received LEED Platinum certification with a score of 90 points.

The certification recognises the company’s work on sustainable development and the efficient use of electricity, gas and water, says a press release.

The certificate was presented at a ceremony held at Syntax Group’s corporate office.

Reaz-ul Islam Sharear, managing director of Syntax Group, received the certificate on behalf of the organisation.

Speaking at the event, he said, “This achievement goes beyond a certification; it strengthens the Syntax Sustainability ZERO Program. Through this initiative, Syntax has set a sustainability benchmark with ambitious targets such as zero carbon emissions, zero rainwater discharge, zero night light pollution, and zero heat island effect. The program will continue to guide our sustainability vision, ensuring that every project aligns with global climate goals and contributes to building a greener and more resilient Bangladesh.”

Senior officials of the company attended the ceremony, including Sohag Munishi, Arobinda Karmokar, Munwar Anjum Rifat, Nabiha Tahsin Noha, Abu Sadik, Sohel Rana, Foyez Ahmed, Shahid, Saju and Shakil.
