Gulshan Society to hold Chand Raat festival in Gulshan 2

The Gulshan Society is set to host a vibrant three-day community festival titled ‘Gulshan Society Chand
Rat’ starting this Wednesday (March 18) at the Gulshan Society Lake Park, Gulshan 2.

Presented by the Gulshan Society and held in association with the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), the festival will be held from March 18 – 20 (depending on the Moon sighting).

The festival, powered by Bank Asia as the Chief Patron, will be officially inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon, says a press release.

The three-day celebration will remain open to the public daily from 4:00 PM and continue until Sehri, offering residents a unique nighttime community experience leading up to the Eid celebrations.

According to the organizers, the festival will feature more than 30 premier brands showcasing a curated selection of lifestyle products, home decor, jewelry, calligraphy, art, and crafts. A dedicated Food Zone will offer a wide array of traditional and contemporary cuisines, while Mojo joins as the Beverage Partner. Polar Ice-Cream continues as the Ice Cream Partner. To ensure seamless connectivity for guests and participants, RedData has come on board as the official Internet Partner.

A major highlight of the event is the Henna Lounge, sponsored by IPDC Finance, where visitors can embrace the festive tradition of henna artistry. To enhance the cultural atmosphere, the Gulshan Society has scheduled a series of soulful performances, including Puppet Shows, Sufi music, Ghazals, and Qawwali performances.

The Gulshan Society envisions this festival as a landmark gathering of togetherness, specifically designed to unite the community in celebration of shared heritage. By transforming the Lake Park into a safe and joyful environment, the Society aims to revive the nostalgic essence of Chand Rat for a modern audience.

Through the collaborative support of partners including Bank Asia, DNCC, IPDC Finance, Mojo, Polar, RedData, and EliteForce as the Security Partner, the organizers are dedicated to creating an inclusive space where the warmth and traditions of the festive night can be experienced by everyone.

The event is open to all residents and visitors, with the Gulshan Society and the event partner “ExtraCheese” ensuring comprehensive festive environment and management throughout the Chand Raat Festival.
