Five people were killed and five others injured in road accidents in two districts yesterday, according to reports from our correspondents.

In Pabna, four people, including three family members, were killed and two others injured when an auto-rickshaw collided head on with a bus at Bohorpur in Ishwardi.

The deceased are Rabbi, 35, his wife Mukta, 25, and their 18-month-old son, Mostakim; and Ratul, 30, said Inspector Monirul Islam of Ishwardi Police Station.

In Tangail, an unidentified trucker died and three others were injured as two trucks collided on the Jamuna Bridge east link road in Kalihati, said police.  The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital.
