Flight operations resume at Dhaka airport
Flight operations resumed at 9:20pm at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, shortly after the fire was brought under control at the cargo section of the airport.
Fire Service and Civil Defence in a media notification said the fire was brought under control at 9:18pm.

Thirty-six firefighting units were working to douse the fire, said Talha Bin Zasim, an officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Cell.
The fire originated in the cargo section near Gate no 8 of the airport around 2:15pm, sources at the fire service said.
"All our aircraft are confirmed safe. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops," said a spokesperson for HSIA.
Meanwhile, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh Fire Service, Bangladesh Navy, and two fire units of the Bangladesh Air Force are working to extinguish the fire.
Besides, two Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) platoons have joined the rescue operation.
At least five flights of different airlines scheduled to land at the airport have been diverted to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram and Osmani International Airport in Sylhet, sources at Dhaka airport told The Daily Star.
The airfield at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka remained closed until 9:00pm today, Dhaka airport sources said.
Due to the closure, four more international flights have been diverted to Chattogram airport. These include two flights operated by US-Bangla Airlines and two by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
With the latest diversions, a total of 12 domestic and international flights have so far landed at the Chattogram airport.
Authorities said the diverted flights will return to Dhaka once the situation normalises.
Meanwhile, all outbound passengers were waiting at HSIA as more than a dozen flights were delayed.
