Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan has assured that cases of journalists who were unjustly denied accreditation cards will be reviewed.

He also announced plans to create a database for journalists’ entry into the Secretariat.

The minister made the remarks today during an exchange of views session organised by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) at the Secretariat’s Media Centre.

The programme was presided over by BSRF President Masudul Hoque and moderated by General Secretary Ubaidullah Badol.

Swapan said he had already held discussions with the Home Minister about easing journalists’ access to the Secretariat.

“We will take a final decision on this after consulting with you (journalists) as well,” he added.
