Lady Gaga to appear in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

Lady Gaga is set to appear in the highly anticipated sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada", balancing the project alongside her ongoing Mayhem Ball Tour.
Following four consecutive sold-out shows at London's O2 arena, the Oscar- and Grammy-winning artiste was spotted in Milan, where production for the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster comedy — which originally starred Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci — is currently underway.
"The Devil Wears Prada 2" marks Gaga's first major film role since "Joker: Folie à Deux". Earlier this year, she also made a cameo appearance in Netflix's hit series "Wednesday." Her brief stop on set comes just before her upcoming performance at Stockholm's Avicii Arena on Sunday.
The original film, adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel, followed aspiring journalist Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway), who lands a coveted role at Runway, a leading fashion magazine. She quickly finds herself under the watchful eye of the formidable editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), whose exacting standards and withering stares defined the role. The novel was a roman à clef, drawing inspiration from Weisberger's experience as Anna Wintour's assistant at Vogue.
While official details of the sequel remain under wraps, reports suggest the story will focus on Miranda Priestly navigating the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She will reportedly face off against her former assistant Emily (Emily Blunt), now a high-powered executive at a luxury conglomerate that controls the advertising revenue Priestly needs. Andy's role in the sequel remains unclear, though indications suggest she may once again find herself drawn back into the world of fashion.
