Detectives in a drive arrested a suspected leader of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Nandigram upazila of Bogra early today.

Acting on information, a joint team of detective branch(DB) of police and the headquarters conducted the drive around 1:00 am at Omarpur area and arrested Abu Sayed alias Karim alias Talha alias Shyamol, Majlish-e-Sura member of the JMB and also the chief of JMB southern region, said Sanatan Chakrawarty, additional superintendent of Bogra Police.

The team also recovered a pistol, one magazine, nine bullets, a machete and a motorcycle.
