At least three people went missing after a trawler capsized in Maskandi River in Kishoreganj early today.

The missing people are Aftab Uddin, 35, Sohel Mia, 30, and Rojob Ali, 45, of Mithamoin upazila's Kholapara village, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

Survivors said nine people of the same village rented a trawler to attend an Urs in Oshtogram upazila yesterday. They encountered a storm around 4:00am while returning from the programme.

The trawler capsized around 4:30am when they reached Kolma union, they informed, adding that six of them swam ashore.

Md Mohsin Uddin, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Oshtogram, and Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Mithamoin Police Station, said they have heard about the trawler capsize incident.
