Nine middle east flights cancelled at Ctg airport
International flight operations to and from Middle Eastern countries were severely disrupted on Tuesday at Chattogram airport, with nine flights cancelled amid escalating regional tensions.
Airport authorities confirmed that Biman Bangladesh Airlines cancelled one arrival and one departure flight, while US-Bangla Airlines cancelled one arrival flight from Dubai.
Air Arabia cancelled two arrivals from Sharjah and two departures to the same destination.
SalamAir also cancelled one arrival and one departure flight on the Muscat route.
Despite the cancellations, limited operations continued, with four arrivals and three departures from the Middle East handled during the day.
Flights on the Chattogram–Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi routes operated by Biman, SalamAir, Air Arabia and US-Bangla Airlines remain unstable due to the ongoing situation, the airport authorities said in a release tonight.
Since February 28, a total of 137 international flights have been cancelled to and from Chattogram airport.
