Two Bangladeshi teams compete at ICPC 2025 World Finals

Two Bangladeshi teams, BRACU Crows from BRAC University and SUST Fanatics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, represented the country at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) 2025 World Finals. The event was held from August 31 to September 5, 2025, in Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by ADA University.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a global programming competition where university students solve complex algorithmic problems under a strict five-hour time limit. This year's finals featured 140 teams, selected from 63,294 students representing 3,307 universities across 93 countries.
Both Bangladeshi teams solved five out of twelve problems during the five-hour contest. BRACU Crows ranked 107th globally and 10th in the Asia West region, while SUST Fanatics ranked 120th globally and 13th in Asia West.
Team BRACU Crows consisted of Ruhan Habib, Arman Ferdous, and Md. Mazed Hossain, with Kabbya Kantam Patwari as coach. Team SUST Fanatics included Najmul Hasan Nayeem, Alfeh Sani, and Sarwar Rifat, with Abid Hossain Mishal as coach.
St. Petersburg State University from Russia emerged as the ICPC World Finals 2025 Champion.
