Two Bangladeshi teams, BRACU Crows from BRAC University and SUST Fanatics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, represented the country at the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) 2025 World Finals. The event was held from August 31 to September 5, 2025, in Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted by ADA University.
Campus sat down with Sohel Rahman, a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Fellow at the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, and the team coach of BUET Potatoes, to learn more about the process and experience of representing the nation as part of the BUET ICPC team.
The team “BUET Potatoes” from BUET has been crowned the Asia West champions at the ICPC World Finals 2023.
DU secured the first and second positions while BUET came in third.
