TikTok launches month-long campaign for mental health awareness
TikTok is marking World Mental Health Day on October 10th with a month-long campaign focused on mental health awareness for October. The platform aims to combat mental health stigmas and demonstrates its commitment to this cause.
For this year's World Mental Health Day, TikTok is highlighting the perspectives of its diverse experts, creators, and advocates. The platform has donated $250,000 to the Rare Impact Fund and sponsored its debut benefit on October 4. This event was organized to raise funds for organizations that promote mental health education and services for the youth. The Rare Impact Fund is an initiative that addresses key mental health and self-acceptance issues.
In Bangladesh, TikTok is collaborating with local creators and organizations. The platform's wellness hub page features videos and playlists from experts, serving as a resource for users to engage with and support mental well-being. Partnerships include local figures like Jubaer, Nanjiba, and Saif Sarwar, as well as prominent organizations such as BRAC and Unicef SouthAsia. These collaborations are designed to enhance the platform's mental health awareness efforts.
Bangladeshi users are being prompted to share their personal well-being stories using the hashtags #MentalHealth and #SelfCare. Throughout October, TikTok is promoting the #MentalHealthAwareness: Better Together campaign to its global user base.
