Two of Bangladesh’s most respected veteran actors, Abul Hayat and Dolly Zahur, have come together for a new television drama titled “Life Is Beautiful”. Written by Shafikur Rahman Shantanu and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, the drama has been produced by Jamal Hossain.

The actor credited much of his personal and professional stability to his wife, Shirin. “Her contribution is immense. After marriage, I was working, acting, dedicating long hours to theatre and television. She held the family together. I would say ninety per cent of what I am today is because of her,” he said.

However, he remains open to acting if the story and character appeal to him. “I no longer have the energy to work continuously like before. With age, the body demands rest. But I can’t stay away from acting altogether. So, if there’s a good story and a character I like, I’ll definitely consider it,” he shared.

The book, titled “Robi Poth,” is set to be released on November 2 at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
