The DAP for Dhaka must not be discriminatory
The Detailed Area Plan (DAP) proposed and prepared by RAJUK, as it is right now, lacks housing plans for at least 70 lakh residents of central Dhaka by 2035. There also seems to be a lack of planning regarding the protection of flood-prone areas around Dhaka, and regarding the rescue of 65 canals, identified by the National River Conservation Commission (NRCC). Which sections of the DAP require improvement? Talking to us regarding this is Iqbal Habib, the DAP working committee convener for Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).
