‘It is tough to watch Pakistan’: Akram voices frustration as India dominate again

Legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram did not mince words after watching India thrash Pakistan by six wickets in their Asia Cup Super Four clash in Dubai on Sunday.
"I am going to speak my heart out. It is tough to watch Pakistan," Akram said on the post-match show. "Winning and losing is part of the game, but India has outplayed Pakistan in every department over the last four or five years. Once or twice, we have won here and there, but it has been incredible from India. The talent, the depth, everything. From 91 in the first 10 overs, when we fail to reach 200, there is nothing to say."
Akram was also left "speechless" during commentary after a bizarre run-out of Mohammad Nawaz in the 19th over, when the batter lazily walked towards the crease and was caught short by a sharp throw.
Earlier, Pakistan had started brightly with Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman adding 91 in the first 10 overs. Zaman fell to a contentious third-umpire call while Farhan went on to score a half-century. But India's bowlers pulled things back to restrict Pakistan to 171.
Chasing the target, Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill demolished the bowling attack with a 105-run stand in just 59 balls. Despite losing a few wickets later, Suryakumar Yadav's side cruised home with seven balls remaining.
The result marked India's second win over Pakistan in eight days and reinforced Akram's concerns about the widening gulf between the two teams.
