Hamza thanks fans, hopes to return to Bangladesh in June

Hamza Choudhury's arrival sparked enthusiasm and interest in football in Bangladesh like never seen before.
Having impressed in his debut game for Bangladesh, in a goalless draw against India in an Asian Cup qualifying fixture in Shillong last Tuesday, Hamza returned to the country with the rest of the team yesterday.
However, even though the Sheffield United midfielder was supposed to catch an England-bound flight directly from the airport in Dhaka following his arrival from India yesterday, a change in flight schedule meant Hamza had to spend a night in the capital.
Hamza left for England this morning, but not before expressing his gratitude towards the fans and everyone else for welcoming him with such a reception.
"I can't explain how much this meant to me. Thank you, In Shah Allah, I will be back in June. Make dua for my good health," Hamza was recorded as saying in a video posted by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in its official Facebook page today.
Bangladesh are scheduled to host Singapore on June 10 in another Asian Cup qualifier.
