A four-member delegation of the National Citizen Party (NCP) arrived at Jamuna in Dhaka this afternoon to hold talks with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

The delegation, led by NCP Convener Nahid Islam, includes Chief Organiser (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam, Senior Joint Convener Samantha Sharmin, and Joint Convener Khalid Saifullah.

The team entered the chief adviser's residence, Jamuna, around 5:00 pm, Samantha Sharmin told The Daily Star.

Since the signing of the July Charter on October 17, political parties have taken varying positions on its implementation. Against this backdrop, the chief adviser has initiated a series of dialogues with political parties.

At a meeting yesterday, the BNP asked the interim government to assume the role of a non-partisan caretaker administration to ensure that the upcoming national election is neutral and acceptable to all.

The chief adviser is scheduled to meet a Jamaat-e-Islami delegation at 6:00pm.
