Visible results soon under 180-day action plan: Dipen Dewan
Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan today said the main goal of the current government is to take the benefits of development to every person in the hilly region.
“We will work with everyone to accelerate the balanced development of the Hill Tracts,” he told reporters at the Rangamati Circuit House at noon.
He said no discrimination will be allowed in development in the hills. “Our main goal is the overall development of all sectors including education, health, agriculture and infrastructure.”
Regarding the government's action plan, the minister said, “The government has taken a special development target of 180 days. We will present visible results to you. Work will be done on a priority basis in areas where development has not reached for many years.”
He added, “BNP is now a servant of the people. Serving the people is our main goal. As per the instructions of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, we will work with the mindset of serving the people and balanced development.”
The minister was greeted with flowers in the presence of officials from the district administration, district police superintendent, district council chairman, CHT Development Board chairman, officials of various government departments, and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organisations, along with locals.
