5.3 magnitude tremor hits Assam, jolts parts of Bangladesh

Parts of Bangladesh, including bordering district Sylhet, were jolted due to a 5.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale in India's Assam early today.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and India's National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicentre of the earthquake, that hit at 2:55am (Bangladesh Time) in the morning, was Assam's Morigaon.
The quake was felt simultaneously in Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Bhutan, and China.
No casualties or damage was reported so far.
