Nine more arrested over attacks on Prothom Alo, The Daily Star offices

With the latest arrests, the number of arrestees has risen to 26

Law enforcement agencies have arrested nine more people in connection with vandalism and arson attacks on the offices of Prothom Alo and The Daily Star.

Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said multiple detective teams carried out the arrests in different areas of Dhaka following analysis of video footage from the incidents.

With the latest arrests, the number of people arrested in the case has risen to 26 so far.

Yesterday, the DMP said it had arrested 17 individuals and identified 31 others in connection with the attacks.
