Several hundred rickshaw pullers blocked Shahbagh for around two hours from 10:00am yesterday, halting traffic at this busy intersection in the capital. They were demanding that battery-operated rickshaws be banned on main roads and restricted to feeder roads. They left Shahbagh around noon on assurances from police and army personnel.
