Besharam Rang: On Shah Rukh Khan - Deepika Padukone styling and more
After a painfully long hiatus of four years, the king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has finally decided to show himself on the big screen. His upcoming movie, Pathaan looks to be a much-awaited oasis for a drama-parched Bollywood of 2022. Amid boycott calls and "Khan-phobia", Pathaan's first song release, Besharam Rang has come to the fans of King Khan as a much-needed respite and how!
The slow and sensuous song with a steady beat is being touted as the hottest party anthem of the season, set against crystal-clear Spanish waters and pristine, white sand. The song offers the first glimpse of the Badshah in his new, ripped avatar.
Khan's messy man bun, 24-hour stubble, sculpted abs and male cleavage, accentuated by unbuttoned breezy shirts in basic black and white make him a killer aesthetic in the song. In the first look, SRK can be seen slaying in a textured white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, a casual pair of sunglasses, and flowing hair in a loosely tied bun. He wears a selection of light jewellery such as rings, bracelets, and some silver lockets, giving him a beachy vibe without overdoing it. A slight smirk deepens his dimples, adding to the bad-boy charm he oozes.
An unbuttoned paisley shirt in teal, with a similar man bun and shades, not to mention Khan's smouldering looks is enough to melt adoring fans into a puddle. Finally, easy black co-ords, a breezy beige hat and one gold and emerald locket make up the third look for SRK in this song. With looks to die for and a powerful expression game, the soon-to-be-60 star seems to be giving the young'uns of the industry a run for their money.
Deepika is famous worldwide as a fashion icon and stylist, Shaleena Nathani seems to have saved the best of her career for her looks in this movie. If the first glimpse is anything to go by, Deepika is sure to make heads turn with every scene.
In her first look, the fashion icon sizzles in a matted gold one-piece, minimalistic statement jewellery, and a chic bob. The bikini is all about dips and curves and the matte colour is a vibrant contrast against the actress's dusky skin.
A sunny yellow, stringy, two-piece monokini forms the second look for Deepika. Here, the actress wears no jewellery and is seen sporting nude makeup, a side-swept wet bob, and a sultry look. Her bold expressions and feisty dance moves elevate the look to a new level.
Deepika also turns up the heat in a variety of sarongs and bikini tops, one that's very obviously inspired by the mermaid and makes her look no less than one, another that's in a fiery sunset orange, and finally, one that is a kaleidoscope of colours on the top and a complementing black on the bottom.
The sizzling chemistry between the duo has made many previous films successful, but never before have the pair been chiselled to fit so effortlessly or so perfectly together as now. If the song is anything to go by, Pathaan is one movie that's sure to break some fashion records.
