Huawei Bangladesh provides video conferencing support to health ministry
Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited will provide video conference systems and Artificial Solution (AI) to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to help fight COVID-19.
"This aid will support the ministry in providing multi-collaboration, remote communication and efficient screening," said a statement by Huawei Bangladesh.
The video conference system adopts a multi-scenario intelligent collaboration solution based on 4K video technology. This system can be applied in several situations, such as epidemic prevention and control command, remote consultation, remote monitoring and effective collaboration.
The solution of AI-assisted screening and quantitative analysis system will help the hospitals improve diagnosis efficiency, the statement added.
Zhang Zhengjun, the CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd., donated the system and solution to Health Minister Zahid Maleque at a program organized by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the capital yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, the health minister said, "I would like to thank Huawei for strengthening Bangladesh in dealing with COVID-19."
"Their advanced and intelligent solutions has helped China to ensure efficiency in managing this difficult situation. We can also utilize these resources for our help."
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said the long-standing relationship between China and Bangladesh is a unique example of friendship.
"In continuation with that, it is great to know how an international company like Huawei stands with us to face the current world-facing threat COVID-19," the finance minister added.
The CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited Zhang Zhengjun said, "Huawei Bangladesh is willing to support Bangladesh in fighting COVID-19, and Huawei Bangladesh has taken strict preventive measures to protect all of the staff as well. In fighting the COVID-19 epidemic, Huawei will always be here and overcome these difficulties together."
