In an ever-evolving entertainment industry, stars often have to rediscover themselves to stay relevant. These talented artistes not only adapted and evolved, but took their craft to another level.

Sarika Saba

Sarika Sabah re‑emerged in 2025 with a renewed focus on diverse roles after a brief period away from regular screen work. She gained notable attention for her performance in the Chorki web series "Gulmohor", directed by Syed Ahmed Shawki, marking one of her biggest projects to date. 

Later in the year, her cameo as Roshni in Jahid Preetom's telefilm "Emon Dine Tare Bola Jay" impressed audiences with memorable depth despite limited screen time. She also starred in the short film "Page Turner", further showcasing her range and screen presence. Sarika continues to seek meaningful roles and deepen her craft.

Dola Rahman

Dola Rahman had a vibrant 2025, making significant strides in music. She became widely recognised for her energetic duet "Chand Mama" from the film "Borbaad", which topped YouTube music trends and brought her widespread praise. This marked her career's turning point, and redefined her musical journey. She released singles like "Poraner Bondhu" and "Opekkha", further scintillating her versatility as a singer.  Dola also featured in the collaborative album "Bujhlam" alongside top vocalists, underscoring her rising presence in the Bangla music scene. 

Arafat Mohsin Nidhi and Raba Khan

This year was truly memorable for the newlywed couple, both stars in their own right. They collaborated on a Chorki web film "Khub Kachheri Keu" featuring FS Nayeem and Sunerah Binte Kamal, delivering a sweet and nostalgic story. The project marked Nidhi's directorial debut on the web and Raba's first work as a writer. Their heartfelt collaboration resonated with audiences and left them eagerly anticipating the couple's upcoming web series, promising an exciting new chapter in both their creative and personal journeys.

In 2025, new talent and experienced artistes shone, inspiring audiences with fresh energy and creativity. Together, they have set the stage for a thrilling future, promising more memorable performances, new ways of storytelling, and creative brilliance. 

If this year is any indication, the next chapter of Bangla entertainment is poised to be bolder, brighter, and unforgettable.

Zahid Hasan

The 90s actor Zahid Hasan who was one of Bangladesh's most reliable leading men through television dramas that defined an era. Known for his restrained acting, emotional depth and effortless screen presence, he built a career rooted in consistency rather than fleeting stardom. 

Over time, he smoothly transitioned into mature, character-driven roles without losing audience connection. In 2025, his comeback with "Utshob" revitalised his relevance, introducing him to younger viewers while rekindling nostalgia among longtime fans. 

Jaya Ahsan

This year marked a special chapter in Jaya Ahsan's career. In 2025, she reaffirmed her position as one of the most formidable performers in the Bangla film industry with a diverse slate of releases spanning both Bangladesh and West Bengal. 

Her choices reflected a careful balance between mainstream visibility and artistically driven narratives, allowing her to explore complex, layered characters. 

The long-awaited "Jaya Aar Sharmin" finally reached theatres, while she made a notable OTT debut with Ashfaque Nipun's "Jimmi". Moving confidently into commercial territory with "Taandob" and "Utshob", Jaya simultaneously maintained her cross-border relevance through films like "Dear Maa" and "Fereshte". She was not merely present on screen, she was central to shaping the year's cinematic discourse, especially redefining her journey in Bangladeshi cinemas.

Sadia Ayman

Sadia Ayman stayed away from the screen only to return with one of the most striking comebacks of recent years. Her reappearance made audiences wait, but rewarded them with a performance as memorable as Jasmine in "Utshob", calm and gentle on the surface, yet quietly resilient at heart. The role proved to be a defining turning point in her career, earning widespread praise and even international recognition, including an appreciation note from "Pink" director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. 2025 became a year to remember for the young actress, who now promises to return to the small screen with yet another compelling and thoughtfully chosen role.

Sabila Nur

After a long and successful career on television and in commercials, Sabila Nur made her much-anticipated silver screen debut in 2025 with the big-budget film "Taandob", opposite Shakib Khan. The Eid release marked a turning point in her career, earning her widespread attention and establishing her as a promising new face in cinema. Her performance and on-screen presence were well received, significantly expanding her audience beyond the small screen. In the same year, she also signed "Bonolota Express", directed by Tanim Noor, signalling her intent to pursue diverse and substantial film roles as she carefully transitions into mainstream cinema.

Tasnia Farin

In 2025, Tasnia Farin made a notable mark in both film and digital content. She starred in the Bangladeshi action thriller "Insaaf" alongside Sariful Razz and Mosharraf Karim, released during Eid‑ul‑Azha, which showcased her versatility on the big screen. Earlier in the year, she appeared in the web film "How Sweet" with Ziaul Faruq Apurba, further expanding her presence in digital media. Beyond acting, Farin ventured into production, launching her own production house to create music videos and original content. As the launching project her song "Mon Golbe Na" was released, in music collaboration with Imran Mahmudul. Her work in 2025 reflects a strategic balance between mainstream cinema and independent projects, surely made a remarkable year for this artiste.

Tanjin Tisha

Tanjin Tisha remained active across television, web, and film projects, continuing to strengthen her reputation as a versatile performer. This year, she began with popular Eid‑special dramas and web films, including "Hide 'n Seek" and "Secret of Shiuli," earning praise for her strong, women‑centered roles. 

Her debut in the OTT platform with Jahid Preetom's web film "Ghumpori", was a landmark project in her career. 

Later in the year, Tisha confirmed her big-screen debut in the film "Soldier" opposite Shakib Khan, with filming beginning in October, marking an important milestone as she transitions from TV to cinema.

Pritom Hasan

If someone needs to call it a year, then surely it is Pritom Hasan. In 2025 he excelled as an actor, music director, and singer. He starred in the romantic web film "Ghumpori" opposite Tanjin Tisha, showcasing his acting range. 

As a musician, his song "Lichur Bagane" from the film "Taandob" became widely popular, and he released the hit track "Chand Mama" and "Didha"  from the Shakib Khan starrer "Borbaad".

Pritom embarked on a landmark 25‑city North American tour, thrilling fans internationally.

Sunerah Binte Kamal 

Sunerah Binte Kamal had a year that felt truly her own. In Daagi, she delivered a performance that was honest and emotionally grounded, staying with the audience long after the screen faded. Utshob showed a different side of her—warm, confident and effortlessly charismatic. What stood out most was her ease in front of the camera, whether in moments of silence or expression. Rather than chasing scale, she focused on sincerity, choosing roles that allowed her to grow. This year, Sunerah didn't just perform—she connected, quietly strengthening her place in the industry.

Xefer Rahman

In 2025, Xefer Rahman stayed active as both a singer and actress. She joined the Chorki original series "Myself Allen Swapan 2", lending her voice to the revamped song "Boyam Pakhi 2.0" and appearing on screen in the series. 

Earlier in the year she released the music video "Teer," which she composed and led creatively. Her track "Niye Jabe Ki" from Shihab Shaheen's "Daagi" earned a lot of appreciation as well.

Xefer also teamed up with Pritom Hasan for the romantic web film "Tumi Ami Shudhu," set to begin shooting in 2025, showing her expanding range in acting and music.

Mostafizur Noor Imran

A powerhouse actor known for his selectivity, Mostafizur Noor Imran made a notable return to screens in 2025 with the web series "Gulmohor," leaving his signature mark through a compelling performance that resonated with audiences.

Later in the year, he appeared in the trailer of Mejbaur Rahman Sumon's upcoming film "Roid", instigating excitement and anticipation among fans. Imran's careful selection of projects in 2025, from "Gulmohor" to "Roid," showcased his dedication to quality storytelling and his ability to captivate viewers after a long absence.

Mir Naufel Ashrafi Jisan

Mir Naufel Ashrafi Jisan

This actor wowed audiences in the web series "Karagar" and was not actively seen on screens for quite some time. In 2025, Mir Naufel Ashrafi Jisan had a remarkable year, delivering strong performances that reinforced his growing presence in the industry. 

He appeared in the Chorki original series "Gulmohor" as Robi, contributing to the layered family drama that premiered in May and captivated viewers. 

Early in the year, he played a key role in the crime-drama web series "Black Money", released in January. Through these projects, Jisan showcased his versatility and dedication to his craft, earning acclaim for his extraordinary performances.
