Following his striking transformations in Raihan Rafi's "Toofan" and Anonno Mamun's "Dorod", Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan is back with another jaw-dropping look in the upcoming action-packed thriller, "Borbaad".

Directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, marking his feature film debut, the film's first-look motion poster was unveiled on Shakib Khan's verified Facebook page earlier today. The post was captioned: "Witness the beginning of Bengali cinema's ultimate action-violence saga!"

Scheduled for release during Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, "Borbaad" is already generating buzz for its ambitious scale and promises of groundbreaking action sequences. The project is being touted as a potential record-breaker in Bangladeshi cinema, with an unprecedented production budget of Tk 15 crore.

Mehedi Hassan Hridoy, known for directing over 100 television dramas, has remained tight-lipped about specific plot details. However, insider sources have revealed that 80% of the film will be shot abroad, featuring high-octane stunts choreographed by Bollywood and Telugu cinema veteran Ravi Varma.

Shakib Khan, who has become increasingly selective post-pandemic, signed onto the project in October last year. Principal photography is set to begin this October. Industry insiders are already calling "Borbaad" a potential game-changer, poised to elevate the standards of Bangladeshi action films to new heights.

Alongside Shakib Khan, the cast includes well-known actors like Idhika Paul, Jishu Sengupta, Manav Sachdev, and Misha Sawdagar, representing both Bangladeshi and Indian film industries.
