Nuhash Humayun ‘Dui Shaw’ to premiere this December with star-studded episodes

The Chorki Original series "Dui Shaw" offers a spine-chilling new horror experience, directed by Nuhash Humayun. The four-episode series will premiere its first episode, "Waqt," on the Chorki OTT platform at 12 am on December 19. The trailer was released on December 12.

Chorki's verified Facebook page officially announced the release date with a post. Since then, fans have flooded the comments section with excitement, eagerly stating, "We are waiting." The remaining episodes will follow, with their release dates revealed on Chorki's social media platforms.

The other episodes are titled "Bhaggo Bhalo," "Antora," and "Beshura," each offering a unique interpretation of horror. Nuhash explains that "Bhaggo Bhalo" focuses on a viral astrologer, while "Antora" delves into a supernatural marital life. "Beshura" tells the story of an artist born without the inherent skill for rhythm or melody.

Meanwhile, "Waqt" follows the tale of five criminals facing five different outcomes at five distinct points in time.

The episode titles were a collaborative effort between the creator and the audience. Names suggested through a campaign on Chorki's Facebook page were merged with Nuhash's vision to finalise the titles.

In the first season, "Pett Kata Shaw", the director brought to life ghost stories from various parts of the country. Released on Chorki in 2022, the series gained significant popularity. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the release of the second season, many having requested the release date. The wait is finally over, with viewers also praising the creativity of the episode titles.

The trailer features an intriguing line: "Do you know the difference between Iblis and humans? One has a talibya shaw, and the other has a pett kata shaw (a split shaw)." This mysterious line has sparked widespread curiosity.

While withholding answers for now, Nuhash Humayun shares, "In the second season, I've focused more on psychological aspects than supernatural elements or appearances. I've also tried to reflect the horrors of the country and recent times as forms of fear."

According to Nuhash, social fears have become more significant in the country than the fear of ghosts. Each episode of "Dui Shaw" seeks to explore the darker sides of the human psyche.

In the episode "Waqt," the characters of five friends are portrayed by Allen Shubhro, Rizvi Rizu Chowdhury, Refat Hasan Saikat, Abdullah Al Sentu, and Rafayatullah Sohan, among others.

"Bhaggo Bhalo" features performances by Mosharraf Karim, Zebunnisa Sobhan (Tuntuni), Adnan Adib Khan, Samia Othoi, and others.

Meanwhile, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Afzal Hossain, and Shilpi Sarkar Apu star in "Antora."

Finally, "Beshura" showcases the talents of Arfan Mridha Shiblu, Islam Uddin Palakar, and others.
