Mumbai witnessed an emotional evening yesterday (December 29) as members of the Hindi film industry came together for a special screening of "Ikkis", the upcoming period drama directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film holds particular significance as it marks the final on-screen appearance of legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89.

The screening was attended by several prominent figures from the film industry. Lead actors Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia arrived together and posed for photographers on the red carpet. Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays a key role in the film, was among the early arrivals.

Veteran stars Rekha, Tabu and Jeetendra were also seen entering the venue, alongside Salman Khan, Lulia Vantur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, designer Manish Malhotra, and actor couple Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh. Actors Randeep Hooda, Sikandar Kher and Vivaan Shah were also present.

One of the most poignant moments of the evening came when Salman Khan was seen standing silently beside a poster of Dharmendra. The actor remained there for several moments, visibly moved, as cameras captured the quiet tribute.

"Ikkis" features Agastya Nanda as Arun, the son of Dharmendra's character, Brigadier ML Khetarpal. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikandar Kher and Vivaan Shah in significant roles.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 1, 2026.
