Tk 5.5 crore worth cineplex to open in Cumilla this Eid
The K-Screen Cineplex is set to open in Cumilla this upcoming Eid, bringing a modern cinematic experience to the city. The cineplex has been built under the leadership of producer and leader Khourshed Alam Khosru and is located on the eighth floor of the Gomti Shopping Center in the Cumilla Cantonment Board area.
The cineplex has two screens with seating capacities of 200 and 250, equipped with an 8:1 sound system and digital cinema projection (DCP). It also includes a food court. The project has been built at a cost of Tk 5.5 crore.
Khourshed Alam Khosru, primarily a film producer, recently produced the films “Golui” and “Insaaf.” Prior to that, several films were produced by him under his production company, TOT Films.
Khosru said, “I have a long-standing relationship with cinema. I have been producing and directing films for over two decades. Alongside that, I have also been involved in managing several movie halls. From that experience, I know that audiences today no longer want to watch films in old, run-down halls.”
He added that ticket prices are being set in line with other cineplexes across the country. The film entrepreneur also stated that domestic films will be given priority in screenings.
