Disney has decided to move forward with its live-action version of "Tangled" after stopping the project earlier this year. While no actors have been officially confirmed yet, Scarlett Johansson is being considered to play the villain Mother Gothel.

The studio had put the movie on hold in April after their "Snow White" remake flopped at theaters in March. However, their decision changed after the live-action "Lilo & Stitch" became a massive hit, earning $1 billion worldwide.

The new "Tangled" will follow the same story as the 2010 animated film, which was based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale about Princess Rapunzel and her incredibly long magical hair. In the story, she's trapped in a tower and eventually rescued by a charming thief named Flynn Rider. The film's popular song "When Will My Life Begin" was even nominated for an Oscar.

Director Michael Gracey, known for "The Greatest Showman," is in discussions to helm the project. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has written the script. Disney has not announced who will play other major roles yet.
