‘Dhurandhar’ becomes first Bollywood album to sweep Spotify Global Top 200

The Indian blockbuster "Dhurandhar" has become the first Hindi film to place every track from its soundtrack simultaneously on Spotify's Global Top 200—an unprecedented feat for Indian cinema. The milestone caps a rare, full-spectrum chart takeover at home and abroad, signalling a decisive shift in how Bollywood soundtracks travel worldwide.

Composed and produced by Shashwat Sachdev, the album has delivered one of the most comprehensive performances ever recorded by a Hindi film on streaming platforms. On Spotify India, all 11 tracks are currently charting within the Top 200, making "Dhurandhar" the first Indian film album to achieve an 11-out-of-11 sweep at the same time. The title track sits at No 3, "Ishq Jalakar – Karvaan" holds No 5, and "Gehra Hua" ranks No 7, while the remaining songs maintain strong positions across the chart—evidence of sustained, album-wide listening rather than short-lived single spikes.

The momentum does not stop at India's borders. "Dhurandhar" debuted at No 2 on Spotify's Global Top Albums chart and at No 5 on Spotify's US Top Albums chart, placing it among the highest-debuting Indian film albums worldwide. The rankings underscore the soundtrack's crossover appeal and its growing resonance with international listeners unfamiliar with Bollywood's traditional release cycles.

Apple Music tells a similar story. The album has claimed the No 1 spot on Apple Music India, with multiple tracks simultaneously dominating individual song charts. The convergence across platforms points to a rare phenomenon in contemporary film music: an album that thrives as a complete listening experience while also fuelling song-by-song discovery.

At the centre of the achievement is Sachdev's expansive musical architecture. "Dhurandhar" moves fluidly across cinematic score-driven compositions, contemporary hip-hop-inflected tracks, and emotionally anchored songs, yet holds together as a cohesive body of work. The wide chart spread reflects both sonic range and an ability to connect with varied audiences without fragmenting the album's identity.
