Diptee Samadder Dipu's patriotic songs unveiled
Under the title "Priyo Jonmobhumi", original tracks of six patriotic songs, penned and tuned by Diptee Samadder Dipu was unveiled at Chhayanaut Sangskritik Bhaban in Dhaka on 30 December. On the occasion, prominent artiste Hasina Momtaz was present as the chief guest while Chhayanaut Guru Dr. FM Razwan Ali, renowned elocutionist Bhaswar Bandopadhyay and singer Mahmudul Hasan were present as special guests.
The songs are recorded by Layeqa Bashir, Rezaul Karim, Aritri Samadder, Badhan Biswas, Sanchita Trisha, Nandita Disha, Afroza Rupa, Minhajul Hasan Imon, Fazle Rabbi Romel, Rabeya Akhtar Pew and Maidul Haque, Sauvik Biswas and others. Dr. FM Razwan Ali composed music for the songs and the visualization was done by Sameeran Dewan.
Diptee Samadder Dipu says, "December is the month of our victory. I am happy to present some original patriotic songs to the audience this month. I am impressed by the love of the dignitaries and the audience present at the event. I hope I will give you many more songs in the future if I get everyone's love and blessings."
An enlisted singer in the category of Nazrul Sangeet and Classical Music of Bangladesh Betar and BTV, Diptee Samadder Dipu was born in a musical family of Kaukhali upazila, Pirojpur. Dipu, the daughter of Chandra Kanta Samadder and Maya Rani Samadder, started her musical education at the age of 6 with the late maestro Patit Paban Natta. Since then, she successfully surpassed the divisional level by getting first grade in Nazrul Sangeet and Classical Music in various competitions. Later she took a music course from Chhayanaut in Dhaka. She took classical music training from Chhayanaut's teacher Anup Barua for a while, and released her first album on Nazrul Sangeet in 2012 under his supervision.
She also took musical lessons from another Chhayanaut Guru Dr. FM Razwan Ali. Apart from performing at Shuddha Sangeet Utshab in Chhayanaut, she participated in annual and monthly programmes of "Shuddha Sangeet Proshar Goshthi" of Dhaka. Besides performing music in the events of "Sadarang Uchchanga Sangeet Parishad" in Chittagong, Dipu is a member of executive council of Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Sangstha.
