The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is all set to kick off today, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) implementing various plans to make this year's tournament unforgettable. Among these efforts, the board organised a concert to promote the BPL nationwide. Additionally, several participating teams have introduced their own theme songs.

The official theme song for the Bangladesh Premier League "Elo BPL" was revealed several weeks ago during a grand event, featuring two lines penned by Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus. It was voiced by Bangladeshi artiste Muza, currently based in the United States, with contributions from Raef Al Hasan Rafa and rapper Hannan Hossain. All three artistes graced the stage during the official release event.

Muza spoke about the song and shared with local media, "I began recording this track while I was abroad. Later, I returned to the country to shoot the video. We were all incredibly enthusiastic about it. The song features a line, 'Let's change the country,' which I believe will inspire everyone."

Superstar Shakib Khan has made his first direct involvement with this year's BPL as one of the representatives of the Dhaka Capitals team. A special song has been produced for the team, featuring stars like Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Mamnun Hasan Emon, Siam Ahmed, Prarthana Fardin Dighi, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Irfan Sajjad, Masuma Rahman Nabila, and Sarika Sabah in its video.

The standout feature of the video is Shakib Khan's presence, as the Dhallywood superstar is rarely seen modelling in songs outside his films. He took part in the video shoot at FDC yesterday morning. The team anthem, composed and voiced by Pritom Hasan, reportedly cost Dhaka Capitals over Tk 1 crore to produce.

Rangpur Riders, another BPL team, has introduced a new song, but their original anthem, performed by the band Shunno, remains a cherished symbol of good fortune. The team has been promoting the original track since the beginning. Ahsanur Rahman Mallik Rony, Rangpur Riders' manager of Operations and Logistics, shared, "The original song emphasises Rangpur's traditional elements. It has been our team anthem since the inaugural season and was with us when we became champions. Naturally, it holds deep emotional significance for us."

Chittagong Kings opted to not create a new song but instead revitalised their 2012 anthem with a fresh musical arrangement. Originally performed by Raju, the artiste has re-recorded the song with a new rendition. This updated version now includes a rap segment, with music arranged by DJ AKS.

Raju told local media, "The BPL is a major event in domestic cricket, and cricket fans are thrilled about it. I'm truly happy to be part of this song. I was there when BPL began, and we created the original song. It's a great feeling to be involved again. Sajib Das composed the song 'Jago Chittagong Kings'."

In addition to the song, another surprise from the group is the appointment of a dedicated host. Indian-Canadian actress and model Yesha Sagar has already arrived in Dhaka to represent the franchise and provide updates from the field.

Minhaz Uddin Khan, media/commercial manager from Sylhet Strikers, shared that they haven't created a new song but will use their existing track for the campaign. The song, "Fatay Mari Chokka" composed by Fuad Almuqtadir, features vocals by Johan Alamgir, Tashfee, and Fuad himself.
