Alan Kurdi’s father's Christmas message
The images of three-year-old Alan Kurdi's body washed up on the shore of the Aegean Sea has become the symbol of the devastating Syrian refugee crisis gripping the world.
Alan’s photo sparked international outrage brought the world in solidarity against the devastating refugee crisis in Europe.
Three months after the incident, Channel 4 tracked down Alan’s father Abdullah who bears a Christmas message to the world.
He asks for one thing:
“At this time of the year I’d like to ask you all to think about the pain of fathers, mothers and children who are seeking peace and security. We just ask for a little bit of sympathy from you.”
