Bangla Academy announces 2025 Literary Award winners

Bangla Academy has announced the names of nine recipients of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025.

The winners were revealed in a media statement issued by Prof. Mohammad Azam, Director General of Bangla Academy.

Mohan Roy will receive the award for poetry, Nasima Anis for fiction, Syed Azizul Haque for essay and prose, Hasan Hafiz for children’s literature, Ali Ahmad for translation, Mustafa Majid and Israil Khan for research, Farseem Mannan Mohammedy for science, and Moidul Hasan for works on the Liberation War.

On February 26, at the opening ceremony of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2026, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally present the award to the winners.
