Mark Zuckerberg has finally announced a long-awaited WhatsApp update that will make the Android to iOS transition much smoother, and vice-versa. According to Mark, users will now be able to switch between the two operating systems seamlessly, without losing their WhatsApp chat history or content. 

In a Facebook post earlier today, Mark Zuckerberg announced:

"We're adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption. This is a top-requested feature. We launched the ability to switch from iPhone [to] Android last year, and now adding Android [to] iPhone as well."
