It is worth mentioning that “Priyo Satyajit” is a film about the inner world and the life of the filmmaker. The story revolves around the creative journeys of two filmmakers from two different generations, both of whom are inspired by the ideals of Satyajit Ray. The role of the senior filmmaker was portrayed by the late, talented artiste Ahmed Rubel, while the younger generation filmmaker was played by Moutushi Biswas. The film was produced by the director’s own production house, Imation Creator.
After completing “Shongbad”, the actress wants to take a break. Being the homesick kind, she mostly enjoys her own company, however, she also shared that she needed a vacation this time. “I want to explore a new country this time. It depends on my mood; whenever I feel a little pride in myself, I want to run to the hills and mountains, it makes me feel grounded and helps me to stay humble. When I feel exhausted, I prefer going near the sea, as it helps me to be calm.”
Along with "Dear Satyajit", child actor Atiqur Rahman Shihan has also won the Best Child Artiste award for his portrayal in the film “Juddho Joyer Kishore Nayok”.
Veteran actor Ahmed Rubel portrayed the lead character in the film, who tragically passed away last February and was supposed to attend the festival in person with the director.
On the legendary filmmaker's 31st death anniversary, Proshoon Rahmaan's tribute film to Ray, has finally released it's trailer. Titled "Dear Satyajit (Priyo Satyajit)", the film has been produced by Imation Creator, Bangladesh.
