Jagannath University teachers and students last night announced fresh protest programmes as the government has yet to respond to their demands.

Jagannath University students last night declared they would not leave the streets until their three-point demand is met, after police action and Information Adviser Mahfuj Alam’s attempt to move them through talks failed.

At least 25 students were taken to DMCH after suffering injuries from baton charges or falling ill due to tear gas inhalation

The demands include an increase in the university budget and the introduction of a housing allowance
