Brazil, Argentina confirm FIFA U-20 World Cup tickets

Argentina and Brazil have secured qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025™ with two matches to spare as they continue to waltz through the South American U-20 Championship.
That pair are heavyweight contenders at both continental and global level, with Argentina having won a record six editions of the U-20 World Cup while Brazil have claimed five.
At the ongoing continental championship in Venezuela both have maintained perfect records in the final phase, with Brazil downing Paraguay 3-1 to qualify for Chile 2025 while Argentina followed suit later in the evening as they edged past Colombia 1-0.
Having started with a shock 6-0 defeat at the hands of Argentina in the opening first round fixture, Brazil have bounced back in impressive fashion, seeing off Bolivia and Ecuador to reach the final round where they have now reeled off three straight wins over Uruguay, Colombia and now Paraguay.
They've also spread the goals around with all five, final stage, strikes coming from different players. Against Paraguay, early efforts from Gustavo Prado and Rayan saw them race into an early lead in Caracas before Atletico Mineiro's Alisson Santana completed the 3-1 win late on.
Argentina, meanwhile, secured their passage to Chile 2025 with a late strike against Colombia from River Plate's Ian Subiabre; the winger collecting a rebound and firing home as they remain the only undefeated team at the tournament.
Given the U-20 World Cup host nation, Chile, are also involved in the final phase of the South American Championship it means that Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay are fighting for the region's remaining two berths at the global finals.
With Argentina and Brazil's qualification, 14 of the 24 nations set to compete in Chile from 27 September-19 October have now been confirmed.
