Zimbabwe due in Nov, BCB confirms
Zimbabwe cricket team will arrive in Dhaka in early November on a short tour to play ODI and T20I matches against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon said this at a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur this evening.
The young and eager Zimbabwe side will play three ODIs and three T20I matches.
Zimbabwe players and staff will reach Bangladesh in the first week of November.
Previously, Zimbabwe were to tour Bangladesh in January next year, but due to the unfortunate pullout by Australia out of their two Test tour, BCB decided to invite the African side instead.
Zimbabwe agreed to play Bangladesh on two separate tours.
While Zimbabwe were initially supposed to arrive in November to play two Tests, it was later decided that the two teams will battle it out in three ODIs and three T20Is next month.
