Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to take part in the upcoming Asian Legends League, which begins on March 10. Shakib will represent Asian Stars in the five-team competition.

Asian Stars will begin their campaign against Afghanistan Pathans on the opening day.

Alongside Shakib, former Bangladesh all-rounder Alok Kapali is also set to play for Asian Stars. Other notable players in the squad include Dilshan Munaweera, Kedar Jadhav, Sourabh Tiwary, and Seekkuge Prasanna.

Meanwhile, current player Naeem Islam and former Bangladesh players such as Mohammad Ashraful and Tushar Imran will feature for Bangladesh Tigers.

Recently retired Tamim Iqbal was also supposed to play for Bangladesh Tigers, however, The Daily Star has learnt that the opener will not be taking part.

All matches, including the final on March 18, will be played at the Miraj International Cricket Stadium in Rajasthan.
