The Bangladesh Cricket Board said they have changed the date of the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) to July 19. The AGM's main agenda will to approve the constitutional changes required to enact the Regional Cricket Association (RCAs). The AGM was initially scheduled to take place on July 26th but the date was changed as it clashed with ICC's AGM on the same date.

''The framework of the RCAs is not in our current constitution and it will have to be incorporated in to the constitution soon or else there will be no legal basis for it. The framework has been created and it will be placed in the next AGM and if it passes, there will be no further interruptions to creating the RCAs,'' BCB president Nazmul Hassan told the media yesterday following a board meeting where Shakib Al Hasan was announced the new captain of the Test side.

The BCB are also planning to curtail controversy present in the domestic circuit, especially the Dhaka Premier League (DPL).

''Councillorship is one of the issues that creates doubt. One tries to defeat another because of councillorship purposes. The vote becomes very important. This AGM, we will offer that all clubs have a councillor, all participating teams. If everyone is equal, there will not be any fight regarding it,'' he said.

Only Super League teams are allowed two councillors at present.
