Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set for a board meeting on Wednesday and BCB president Aminul Islam claimed the board is keeping a close watch on proceedings with security issues prevalent across the country.

"Our primary task is to manage the game on the field effectively. Regarding security, we are following the instructions and contributions of the relevant law enforcement departments. We will act according to those instructions based on the situation and are maintaining a close watch on everything," Bulbul said at BCB media centre after a Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) workshop which was partnered by the BCB.

The BPL is scheduled to start from December 26 in Sylhet and the tournament will move to Chattogram for the second phase to be played between January 5 to January 12.

The BCB president denied that talks of keeping the tournament in Chattogram past the second phase has materialised. "No preliminary decision has been made yet regarding sticking to the Chittagong phase instead of returning to Dhaka," he said.

The approval of new organogram will be in the agenda for tomorrow's meeting.

"We are restructuring the cricket board. Based on an external HR audit report, we have changed the overall organogram of the board, which will be discussed for approval in tomorrow's meeting. We have also advertised for several major head positions, which will be discussed as well. BPL is also a big issue in the meeting alongside other smaller issues," he informed regarding the meeting on Wednesday.

CCDM chairman Adnan Rahman Dipon had alleged that there was corruption in the board after Faruque Ahmed was relieved of his role as BCB president in May this year. Bulbul said the comments were the board director's personal opinion.

"The allegations of corruption are personal opinions, and I do not accept them. However, we are conducting an overall audit of the system from the past 15 years. We are looking into past issues, such as 90 runs being given in a single over or missing soil that was purchased for pitches. All audits are ongoing now," Bulbul concluded.
