Diplomats from 32 countries to attend Khaleda Zia’s janaza

Ambassadors, high commissioners, and heads of international organisations stationed in Dhaka are on the way to Manik Mia Avenue to attend the namaz-e-janaza of BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.

They have already left the Baridhara diplomatic enclave.

Among the 32 diplomats attending the janaza are Acting US Ambassador Megan Boldin, British High Commissioner Sarah Cook, Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen, and European Union Ambassador Michael Miller.

Also attending are Acting Russian Ambassador Ekaterina Semenova, Japanese Ambassador Saida Shinichi, Canadian High Commissioner Ajit Singh, Australian High Commissioner Susan Riley, and Reto Siegfried Renggli.

In addition, ambassadors and high commissioners from the Netherlands, Libya, the Philippines, Singapore, Palestine, South Korea, Myanmar, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Indonesia, Norway, Brazil, Morocco, Iran, Algeria, Brunei, Thailand, Qatar, Denmark, and Malaysia are participating in the janaza.
