Police today detained a leader and an activist of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, youth front of BNP, from Wari in Dhaka.

Sharif Hossain, Dhaka South Jubo Dal vice-president, and activist Bulbul were picked up in Bonogram area around 5:30pm, police said.

Tapan Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Wari Police Station, told The Daily Star that they were detained on suspicion that they might carry out subversive activities.
