Journalist dies while covering Ducsu election

A journalist died this afternoon while covering the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) election at Curzon Hall on campus.

The deceased was identified as Tarikul Islam Shibli, 40, who worked as a city reporter for Channel S Television.

He fell ill while reporting on the Ducsu polls and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Md Farouk, in-charge of DMCH, confirmed.
