Fire at Korail slum: Seven fire engines bring blaze under control

A fire broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka this afternoon.

Seven fire engines rushed to the spot after the blaze originated around 4:15pm, said Rakibul Hasan, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said.

As of 5:12pm, the fire has been brought under control, said Rakibul Hasan.

No casualties have been confirmed yet, he added.
