Blood Moon 2025: Dhaka witnesses total lunar eclipse
Dhaka witnessed a rare celestial phenomenon as a striking blood moon illuminated the sky during a total lunar eclipse. City dwellers gazed in awe as the moon turned a deep reddish hue, a sight visible from various parts of the capital city on September 7 night.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the lunar eclipse began at 9:27pm, with the total eclipse phase occurring from 12:11am, and will conclude at 2:56am early Monday.
Astronomy enthusiasts and skywatchers gathered on rooftops and open spaces to witness the rare spectacle.
